Life outside our Mother..... Earth.
Sorry 'bout the delay. Blogger was lagging for me! School has been busy with all the revision lectures and stuff. Only had 4 hours of sleep before squeezing onto bus 27 with the morning crowd and attending a lecture that's so boring I give the lecturer the official title of: "BEST HYPNOSIS SESSION WITHOUT A STOPWATCH WITHIN 10 MINUTES!"
Oh wells.
Remember the news just a month ago about a new planet which is very Earth-like, and that you can have a birthday party every 13 days because that's how fast the planet orbits. I can't copy and paste the news here because of the stupid copyright issue. I'm just wondering, what if, there are really aliens? Can we really communicate via the ET-sign? If you haven't watch the TV for like 500 years, this is the sign that is made famous by the show E.T that I'm talking about.
Lol. Call me crazy but I would love to have an alien friend. It's kinda like a Tamagotchi, only in that they won't shit every 5 minutes and evolve every 3 days.
(Alien: Look, it's really obscene that we pose like that for a picture. Ou..OUCH! Mind where your finger is poking!)
Lol oh wells. Tired today. I'll try to write a movie review for Blades of Glory sometime later. For now.. let me feed my alien friend..

Flying clock.
Time really flies. One second I was whining about school starting soon and the next second, it has been a month since school started. Despite boring lectures and tutors with ugly moles all over their face, I still love Poly life the most! Everyday I get to wear what I like to wear and I get to style my lovely hair LOL!
Remember the times in secondary school where the discipline teacher is walking TOWARDS ME and my heart was like thumping so hard that I could almost beatbox, and I had to quickly tuck in my shirt, comb my 1 month old fringe and sideburns to the back and ACT NERD. But alas, I was a popular amongst the discipline masters. "CHING HOW HAIR VERY LONG AR, COME I CUT FOR YOU"
Oh wells. What a jail and bore secondary life has been for me. You study stupid H2SO4 and why girls menstruate and stuff and everyone go like EEEWW. Nowadays, girls talk openly which brand they are using and things like the longer wings are better, in front of me.
And then there's all this dreaded maths that I FAILED SINCE secondary 3. I never understand why mathematicians live so long despite all my curses. I had to slog and mug 5 maths TYS towards O level in order to get an A2.
Now I'm enjoying my schooling life. Deciding where to go during 3 hours break, having snacks while the lecturers chant their sutra, have fun and cracking cold jokes no one understands, and studying the course that I CHOSE, not because I was FORCED to study. I really hope time ticks by in slow-mo from now onwards, because I'm really loving the life I'm having right now. No stress, no responsibilities, no worries. And all these reminds me of the song by S.H.E, I don't want, I don't want, don't want grow big/up.
I'll post the Arian Movie review of Blades of Glory up tomorrow. Time to smash all the clocks.
And just a week ago I got my Passion card! The colour is sooo elegant with the glossy black and the design is sooo sleek!
Passion card!
Look at this card! It's so glossy that it's even reflecting my camera phone!
I'm in love with cards LOL. Next card that I'm going to apply? Debit card! I never like credit cards because they are the cause of bankruptcy 80% of the time. But a debit card? It's COOL lar!
Oh wells. I'm going to watch Blades of glory after school tomorrow so keep an eye out for my movie review!

What's Next?
Went to Plaza Singapura today. Next, we went to catch Next which is next after the buying of Nachos with extra cheese. So coming next, is the Arian movie review of... Next.
Arian Movie Review #5 - Next
Movie Title: Next
Rating/Category: PG/
Plot: Cris Johnson (Nicholas Cage) is a magician, and you pretty much can guess it, earns MOST of his money by *ahem* playing in a casino and the ability to win everytime? A clairvoyant who can see 2 minutes in the future.
Then the "Romeo" meets his "Juliet" and in a special twist, Juliet can interestingly help him see beyond 2 minutes because of the ever-clichéd thing called destiny. Because of an incident that happened in the casino, the FBI wants to get Cris Johnson to help them nab a bunch of terrorist who has nothing better to do but detonate a stolen nuclear weapon.
Review: This movie is really interesting. I've always like scripts with this kind of paranormal setting because we see normal stuff like everyday in our life. Why pay another 10 bucks to watch something that is going to happen to you everyday? Think along the lines of family drama and documentary movies. Anyways, this movie, although is an action-adventure, packs LOADS OF LAUGHTERS because Nicholas Cage acted so goddamn good. His cockiness, with suave and smooth bullet-dodging and those pretty little magic tricks (he's a magician) really makes you want to have the ability SO MUCH that you would drool everytime he executes certain things like avoiding multiple punches without even looking!
And because of his power, he is virtually INVINCIBLE because he knows his opponents movements even before they are executed. It's like a LEGAL GOD-MODE HACK. How cool is that! Also, the female lead actor was pretty hot looking, which added lots of juicy bits to the movie. (LOOK OUT FOR THE BED SCENE LOL)
If not for the abrupt and albeit lame ending, I would have given it 5 stars because this is really a good movie not to be missed. Even so, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND you to catch it because, well, you never know what's next.
(Look out when the credits roll, they are kinda abnormal!)
Rating:
Now I know why people are always not early for wedding dinners.

Dread. Drats.
Today was Temasek Poly's Pasar Malam day, or rather, as they call it, Campus Care Network day (CCN). It's a day where students set up stores, just like those in Pasar Malam seen in Singapore, and then shriek at the top of their voices attempting to sell overpriced fishballs to willing donators. WELL, it's a charity so it's not really overpriced as in, trying to rip you off so as to install a golden tap in their office. (NKF anyone?)
Well anyways, it's my first and last time trying to squeeze my way in and out of the students mob for this occasion. Seeing students using all kinda tactics like tugging your shirt to "sa jiao" (arghh I can't translate this to English) to get you to buy a stick of 3 marshmallows for a dollar makes me feel kinda.. uhh.. =/
CNN 2007 @ TP
(It looks empty because I took it from the ONLY EMPTY SPOT in the campus)
Before I begin to blog and whine 'bout stuff, I SCORED A WHOPPING 507 on the Street Basketball machine today! After months of training, I finally hit the 500 mark! HOORAY! =D I will blog more about this next time.
So, I kinda dread the year ahead. Or rather, I HATE the year ahead. After the exams, I would be going to interns for 3 months. After this I will come back to school for my graduating exams. THEN IT WOULD BE NS. DRATS. NS. I. HATE. NS. PERIOD. It's like a glorified prison! Not only do I have to SHAVE MY HEAD (which is the one I hate most because I LOVE MY HAIR NOW), I have to sleep in the forest together with wild boars and SHIT AND USE MY OWN TOILET PAPER. And it's for a freaking 20 months, which means 80 weeks or 560 days! Holy banana. Imagine wearing a pair of geeky spectacles, nerdy hairstyle and a body full of sweat for 560 FREAKING DAYS. HOW I WISH I CAN GET OUT OF THIS DREADED PLACE. 2 years! I can have so much fun at the age of 20 and 21!
Sigh. Why am I a Singaporean? Sometimes I wished I were in Japan or Taiwan, having fun with all the street fashion, their TV entertainment, their food.. If I had the means to immigrate, I would DEFINITELY get out of Singapore. It's boring, rigid and totally, shit. Who cares about bringing in F1, having all the IRs when people have to beg and plead for a day off work in Singapore just to have fun, then get home and start rushing reports, documents etc etc. What's the point?
When I first get into the entrepreneurship and tourism cluster, I was elated. But pretty soon I realised, what's the point of life, especially in Singapore? You get all the riches, but you look ugly and old when you finally have the time to reap your rewards. You are poor, you eat sardines and soy sauce. You are the middle, you struggle, you boot-lick just to get to the upper class. I'm not saying this is not true in other countries, but this is most likely to be the scenario in Singapore.
Therefore, I hope, as and when I should be working, I want to pursue a career I have the most passion. Not because it gives me the money. Because I want to live the rest of my life before I retire, to do something I love. Look at the society now. People dread to go to work. Everyone looks bored when you get on the morning train in Singapore. They slog. They boot-lick. They endure humiliation. Why? Because they need the money.
Today's blog entry is solemn and long. But this is afterall a diary. My online diary. And I would want to look back on this entry 30 years later and not regret the decisions I've made further down my life.
P.S Anyways I'm going to catch Next later on so, look out for the movie review. Until then, signing off. =)

Movies, sucking me dry.
There's so many movies to catch this summer. There's like Shrek 3, Next and the HILARIOUS Blades of glory. That's a whopping total of $30 if I catch them on weekends. And that's not including the popcorn, nachos and diet coke that comes along with each movie session. AND THAT'S A WHOPPING AWFUL LOT.

Oh wells. Who can I blame but myself for being a movie geek. Oh, before I move on to my promised 28 weeks later movie review, I BOUGHT LINKIN PARK'S NEWEST ALBUM - Minutes to Midnight! YAY! It even comes with a free LP poster! =D
Haven't got the time to hear or rip it into my phone yet. Pretty busy nowadays =/ Anyways, let's get on with the movie review yeah?
Plot: The movie starts off where 28 days later left off, like duh it's a SEQUEL, where the rage virus already annihilated the British Isles. The US then purportedly declared that the virus is gone, and that reconstruction of the city can take place. Refugees start to return, but this is no surprise really, that the virus is not gone. Together with 2 stupid kids who run off the quarantined area to get something back from the "old home" (where it is still infected), you get zombies all over the city once again.
Review: As a zombie-lover, I was pretty disappointed about the gore stuff. There was not much blood despite the M18 rating, and not enough of those "fake-scare" scenes where they go quiet for like 5 seconds and something suddenly pops up in the screen which is normally accompanied with a loud sound. It's clichéd but I just love to scare the shit out of me. That's WHAT HORROR MOVIES ARE FOR RIGHT?! And the camera were pretty shaky, probably to induce the audience to cheer for the "main casts" to run faster than the ever-faster zombies chasing them. Anyways, the storyline was pretty fast-paced, and the setting of the dead city looked quite reasonably dead. Acceptable zombie flick, but didn't do WELL enough for a zombie fan like me.
Rating:
(Arrgh, they told me tomato ketchup taste nicer on the arm!)

Mind-Blogging.
Boo! Blogger won't allow me to blog for the past week. And it apparently had something to do with Singnet. Had to use a manual proxy provided by the people in the help group in order to blog! Had SO MANY stuffs to blog about but they eventually decides to escape my brain of only 256mb memory space whenever I'm free to blog. YEAH YEAH I know. I'm lousier than my thumbdrive.
Speaking 'bout brains! I just went to catch 28 weeks later xD Don't ask me why, but I'm a fan of zombies flicks, just like why some people love eating wasabi. And I'm more BEWILDERED when people LICK WASABI ICE-CREAMS and give me that "OMG-YOU-MUST-BUY-THIS-$4-WASABI-CREAM" face when they lick. Eeurgh. I love everything about Japan, JUST THE WASABI.
Oh wells. Anyways the point is, I love watching these cute creatures called zombies. Dawn of the dead, 28 days later, Hills have eyes, ANYTHING as long as they devour brains. And yes, I would be having a Arian Movie Review on 28 weeks later tomorrow so look out for that. To end off today's blog, let's watch some mind-blowing, brain boggling MV about zombies. (Listen closely to the lyrics, it's funny and entertaining ^^V)

Just FOLLOW LOR!
I really can't stand Singapore's Mediacorp TV anymore. Firstly, they KEEP having re-runs of OLD SHOWS over, and over, and over again! Didn't they already have that MOBtv for people who wants to go retro? Why spread the misery to the younger generation like ME? Just so you're wondering, no one really plays TETRIS anymore.
Secondly, the variety shows nowadays are simply HYPNOTIC. They are so booorinnng, either the ideas are copied from Taiwan variety shows, or they simply buy copyrights overseas and have a localized version. Examples: Singapore Idol, Who wants to be a millionaire and the latest that is coming, Deal or no deal. This is the second time I'm whining bout this in my blog.
And finally, the VERY LAST STRAW THAT MADE ME HATE SINGAPORE TV. Have you guys come across the TV ad for the Mediacorp website xin.sg, whereby lots of people rush out from an alley and do silly stuff like running towards a perceived victim etc? I thought: "Wow! Finally something creative from Singapore", until I saw a 14563% SIMILIAR VIDEO ON YOUTUBE.
What are they thinking? There's not even a SLIGHT VARIATION. (Unless you're speaking bout those siao guys running) And the recent anti-smoking posters that you see? Surprise surprise! They are all ideas copied from other countries.
Being an entrepreneurship student, this kind of thing irks me. They might as well have a "We're GOING RETRO IN 2008! ALL SHOWS THAT WILL BE SHOWN WOULD BE FROM THE 80's!" campaign. I think even I can think up of better variety shows content and even be a host myself. Bah. Maybe Jack Neo should come up with a sequel of Just Follow law for Singapore TV - JUST FOLLOW LOR.

Arian Movie Review #3 - Spiderman 3
Went to watch Spiderman 3 already! It's OMG nice lar. We were dismissed at 1 so we went to PS to have some noodle omelette, then went over to Vivo the Gloria Jean's to chill out. Our movie was at 6:30 so we chilled in the cafe for like 1 freaking hour lol. I ordered the Chocolate macadamia latte and it's quite nice at the beginning, but you can't finish it because you get sick of the macadamia flavor 3/4 down the cup.
I added lots of chocolate rice in it lol. Anyways it's quite nice so if you're free you can go try my recommendation.
Now let's move to the Spiderman 3 movie review yeah?
Movie title: Spiderman 3
Rating/Category: PG/(I already crossed out others, DON'T TELL ME YOU DON'T KNOW)
Plot: So Peter Parker already told Mary Jane that he is Spiderman. And he finally can juggle between his job and studies and girlfriend and superhero duties just right. Of course no movie directors would give you a peaceful show. Out of nowhere comes a black meteorite. And of course suddenly Peter Parker encounters lots of crisis - revenge, relationships and stuff that is clichéd. And that black gooey stuff from the space can make him "shiok", when in real life it kinda means ecstasy but you get what I mean. So, choose to be evil? Or the compassionate hero he used to be? Add in Venom and Sand devil and you get the overall plot of Spidey 3.
Review: First off, I've seen Spidey 1 & 2 and I can safely say Spidey 3 is the best of the series. Awesome awesome visual effects aside ($300 million for those eye-candies mind you), you get quite a good mix of humor of the stingy boss who has high-blood pressure, a good mix of relationships problem, and 3 MIX OF VILLIANS - Goblin, Venom and Sand devil. That's quite worth the $9.50 already.
Also, the director characterized the character quite well, so when someone in the movie gets hurt, you will feel the pain. There are some touching scenes, and I can say you can get pretty teary if you are those who cry easily. The story plot also flows along quite smoothly, narrating all the stuff Spidey encounters and why he will choose to wear the famous black suit everyone is drooling about.
Overall, the movie is a MUST-watch movie of the year because everything about the movie is well done - sound and visual effects, story plot, characterization. One thing bout Spidey 3 though.. CAN SOMEONE KILL OFF MARY JANE ALREADY? She's pretty boring to watch, really. Especially the concert part, oh my, it's worse than my everyday 2 hour lecture.
Rating: !!
P.S: You really gotta go GVmax to watch this movie, their wide seats and VERY WIDE screen will give you the maximum pleasure of watching Spiderman 3 =D
I FINALLY FOUND THE MAGICAL MIRROR PANE!

Eat my FOOD!
I've got a 3 hour break today, so me and some of my classmates went out all the way to Downtown East to have the Sakae Sushi + Teppanyaki buffet. You have to leave within 90 minutes or else each person have to be charged $4 for every extra hour. Ouch. Well, here's one picture of our madness.
That's not Ferrero Rocher please. It's 6 plates of Hotate combined into 2 plates. LOL we were laughing so hard when the waitress served us the dish. We couldn't even use up the full 90 minutes; we surrendered after an hour - IT'S SO FULL CAN.
Don't try the Teppanyaki though, it's quite disappointing. They only let you have chicken, squid and salmon! AWW, no scallops and prawns. And the Teppanyaki vegetables, it's like beansprout stir fried with onions. LOLOL, my friend saw her dish and she was like, Ok.. daogei.. eeks. xD
Oh wells, went back to school at 3:30 and attended the boring 2 hour lecture. OH! Here's my new-found-boring-lecture-food.
TA-DA! M&M dark chocolate! It's really damn nice. Sweet, crispy sugar coating on the outside, the not-so-sweet chocolate oozing into your mouth on the inside.. PERFECT COMBINATION! I love this new version of M&M so much that I bought..
THREE PACKS. LOL! Anyone wants? I can buy it for you, if you're my friend =X OH! And I'm going to watch Spidey 3 in a few hours time. I'm so e to the x to the c to the i to the t to the e to the d!
